The Challenges
Custom manufacturing operations struggle with delivery slot planning due to a complex web of variable constraints. Each custom door model has a specific daily production limit, and order fulfillment is heavily impacted by factory holidays, variable shipping buffer windows, and live production capacity. Relying on manual calculations and spreadsheet tracking by sales agents led to frequent over-allocations, manufacturing bottlenecks, unrealistic delivery promises, and significant communication friction between sales staff and the factory floor.
The Solution
The application resolves these scheduling bottlenecks by integrating a dynamic, automated order validation and date-calculation engine directly into the order creation flow. When an executive configures an order, the system automatically analyzes the requested door quantities against live daily model limits, active calendar exclusions, and required logistical buffers to calculate and suggest the earliest mathematically viable delivery date.
